Lil Lightning is a free Learn to Play Hockey program proudly hosted at Hess Ice Rink through the Lawrence County Lightning Hockey Association. Made possible by the generous support of our local sponsors, Lil Lightning opens the door for children to experience the fun and excitement of hockey — at no cost to their families.

Our mission is simple: to give every child the chance to learn the game of hockey in a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment. Whether it’s their first time on skates or they’re ready to build their skills, Lil Lightning helps kids gain confidence, make friends, and develop a love for the game that can last a lifetime.
