8U ADM TRAVEL HOCKEY
The 8U ADM (American Developmental Model) program, designed for players aged 8 and under, focuses on building a foundation of skating and puck skills through fun and engaging activities. This program emphasizes foundational skills, small-area games, and cross-ice play to maximize puck touches and player engagement. The core of the program is to foster a love for the game while developing essential hockey skills in a supportive and age-appropriate environment.
Ages
This program is exclusively for players with birth years 2017-2021
When
Practices run twice a week for an hour. Starting September 4th and running thru March
Where
Teams practice at Hess Ice Rink and will host 2 home jamborees. There will be 5 away jamborees (travel time under 90 minutes). Tournaments are optional and an additional cost

Mondays 4:45 pm - 5:45 pm
Thursdays 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Jerseys
Jerseys are proudly sponsored by Joy Baking Group and will be provided for all players. Socks will need to be purchased by the players.
Extra Costs
Tournaments are optional and paid for by the players.

The Lawrence County Lightning 8U program follows the USA Hockey American Development Model (ADM). This station-based approach is designed to maximize puck touches, increase scaling of skills, and—most importantly—ensure that every child on the ice is having fun while developing a lifelong love for hockey.
