Lightning Weekend Recap

It was a busy Sunday on the ice for the Lawrence County Lightning, with four teams in action across the region.

The 12U2 squad kicked off the day at Printscape at Southpointe but fell to the South Pittsburgh Rebellion, 4–0. At nearly the same time, the 14U Lightning battled at Baierl Toyota Ice Complex but were topped by the North Pittsburgh Wildcats, 9–2.

Later in the afternoon, the 12U1 team also faced off against the Wildcats at Hess Ice Rink, dropping a tough contest 10–0.

The highlight of the day came from the 16U Lightning, who closed out the weekend with a big 4–2 win over the Pittsburgh Huskies at Pittsburgh Ice Arena, giving the program a strong finish to the slate of games.
