Lightning Weekend Recap: Two Wins on Sunday

The Lawrence County Lightning capped off the weekend with a pair of victories on Sunday.

In the 16U matchup, the Lightning edged out the Pittsburgh Yeti with a 3–2 win at Frozen Pond Arena. Goals came from Lane Schubert, Benjamin Such, and Gage Campbell, with Jaxin Lohr and Luca Aurillo providing helpers. Goaltender Olaf Haroldson stood tall, stopping 10 of 12 shots.

The 12U2 squad also brought home a 3–1 win over the South Pittsburgh Rebellion at Hess Ice Rink. Walker McAnlis led the way with two goals, while Jackson Alger added a goal and an assist. Banks Shoup and Antonio Varrati each chipped in assists. Between the pipes, Carter Sweet turned away 10 of 11 shots, while Annabella Haroldson shut the door with a perfect 17-save performance.

The Lightning look to keep the momentum rolling into next weekend’s action.
